9 de may. de 2024 · The 900-MW BorWin4 will be built in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the German North Sea. Amprion aims to get a planning approval decision by the beginning of 2024 at the latest and break ground on the laying of the cable in 2027.

DolWin4 and BorWin4, each with a capacity of 900 MW, are planned to function largely in parallel and are expected to become operational in 2028. DolWin4 will cover around 215 km, including around 60 km of submarine cables running beneath Norderney Island.

The cables end in Lingen and run through East Frisia from Hilgenriedersiel via Lütetsburg, Norden, Osteel, Marienhafe, Upgant-Schott, Wirdum, and Hinte to Emden.
