  1. Brereton Chandler Jones (June 27, 1939 – September 18, 2023) was an American politician from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. From 1991 to 1995, he was the state's 58th governor, and had served from 1987 to 1991 as the 50th lieutenant governor of Kentucky.

The Democrat served in the top post from 1991 to 1995 in addition to being a familiar face in the state’s horse industry. Jones served as lieutenant governor under Wallace Wilkinson in the late 80s and early 90s before going on to win the governorship himself.
