Brockhurst and Marlston House School is a British independent and boarding preparatory school. It occupies Marlston House, a grade II* listed Elizabethan style house situated in the hamlet of Marlston and the civil parish of Bucklebury in the English county of Berkshire.

Opportunities for girls in their personal, social and academic lives have never been greater but they need to develop the right skills at school to take full advantage of them. At Marlston House, our aim is to concentrate on the needs of the individual child, developing talents and abilities to the full.
In 1995, a twin girls’ prep school to Brockhurst was opened on the same site which we named Marlston House. We started the girls’ school in order to offer girls in the Newbury area and beyond equal opportunities to those available to boys, who traditionally had benefitted from better educational provision at prep and senior school level.
Brockhurst (Boys) and Marlston House (Girls) are twin schools sharing the same estate in Hermitage, near Newbury, Berks. We offer a unique education with the best features of small single-sex classes and shared extra-curricular activities.

Established in 1995, Marlston House is situated in 500 acres of its own grounds in countryside of outstanding beauty, only four miles from access to the M4. The school is situated beside Brockhurst Boys’ Preparatory school and occupies separate listed buildings.
