Candace Wheeler (Delhi 24 de marzo de 1827 – 5 de agosto de 1923), se considera la fundadora del diseño de interiores. Fue una de las primeras diseñadoras de interiores y de textiles . Candace Wheeler (née Thurber; March 24, 1827 – August 5, 1923), traditionally credited as the mother of interior design, was one of America's first woman interior and textile designers. She helped open the field of interior design to women, supported craftswomen, and promoted American design reform.
