Carla Cook is an American jazz vocalist. [1] Biography. Cook was drawn to a life of music at an early age. As a student at Cass Technical High School she played string bass in the school orchestra, studied piano and voice on weekends, and sang in her church's choir.

The Detroit native also finds inspiration in R&B, Motown, pop, gospel and country.
