Carlo Cattaneo ( Milán, 15 de junio de 1801 - Lugano, 6 de febrero de 1869, fue un filósofo italiano . Trayectoria. Memorie di economia pubblica dal 1833 al 1860, 1860. Formado en la tradición empirista de Romagnosi, enseñó durante un tiempo en el Gymnasium de Milán. En 1839 fundó el periódico mensual Il Politecnico, que se publicó hasta 1844.

Carlo Cattaneo è stato un patriota, filosofo, politico, politologo, linguista e scrittore italiano, esponente del pensiero repubblicano federalista. Di formazione illuminista e positivista, ebbe un ruolo determinante nelle cinque giornate di Milano del 1848.
Carlo Cattaneo nasce a Milano il 15 giugno del 1801. Allievo del filosofo e giurista liberale Gian Domenico Romagnosi, nel 1824 si laurea in giurisprudenza. Dal 1828 al 1838 è redattore degli "Annali universali di statistica".
