The County of Nice (French: Comté de Nice / Pays Niçois; Italian: Contea di Nizza / Paese Nizzardo; Niçard Occitan: Contèa de Niça / País Niçard) is a historical region of France located around the southeastern city of Nice and roughly equivalent to the modern arrondissement of Nice.

Die Comté de Nice war ein 1966 in Dienst gestelltes Fährschiff der französischen Reederei Compagnie Générale Transatlantique. Bis 1982 befand sich die Fähre für verschiedene Eigner zwischen Nizza und Korsika sowie Marseille und Algier im Einsatz, ehe sie 1983 nach Griechenland verkauft wurde.

Nice was probably founded around 350 BC by colonists from the Greek city of Phocaea in western Anatolia. It was given the name of Níkaia ( Νίκαια) in honour of a victory over the neighbouring Ligurians (people from the northwest of Italy, probably the Vediantii kingdom); Nike ( Νίκη) was the Greek goddess of victory.
