Georg Sabinus or Georg Schuler (23 April 1508 [1] – 2 December 1560) was a German poet, diplomat and academic. Sabinus was born at Brandenburg an der Havel. He served as Professor of Poetry and Eloquence and first-ever rector of the Albertina (later the University of Königsberg ). He died, aged 52, in Frankfurt (Oder) .

Georg Sabinus ( latinisiert für Georg Schuler; * 23. April 1508 in Altstadt Brandenburg; † 2. Dezember 1560 in Frankfurt an der Oder) war ein deutscher Dichter und Diplomat. Als Professor der Poesie und Beredsamkeit war er Gründungsrektor der Albertus-Universität Königsberg .
Georg Sabinus (né Georg Schuler le 23 avril 1508 à Altstadt Brandenburg et mort le 2 décembre 1560 à Francfort-sur-l'Oder) est un poète et diplomate allemand. Professeur de poésie et d'éloquence, il est le recteur fondateur de l'université de Königsberg.
La inscripción en cuatro líneas está tomada de las traducciones latinas de Teócrito, atribuidas tanto a Ercole Strozzi y Philip Melanchthon o a Georg Sabinus: La pintura aplicada es tiza de carbonato de calcio pulverizada unida con pegamento, mezclada con albayalde. Aún se pueden apreciar rastros del dibujo base en rojo.
