Bad Arolsen (bis 1997 und heute umgangssprachlich Arolsen) ist eine Kleinstadt im nordhessischen Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg. Die Stadt war von 1655 bis 1918 Residenzstadt der Grafen und Fürsten von Waldeck-Pyrmont und danach bis 1929 Hauptstadt des Freistaates Waldeck, bevor dieser seine Selbständigkeit durch den Anschluss an Preußen verlor.
