Artículo 1: reconoció la independencia de las Trece Colonias. Su territorio acordado iba desde el norte de Florida, el sur de Canadá y el este del rio Misisipi, fijando el paralelo 31° como la frontera sur entre el Misisipi y el río Apalachicola.
