  5. Description. Three portraits in the Royal Collection are identified as Frederick II, Duke of Saxe Coburg-Altenburg (RCINs 406404, 406401, 406364). He was born in Gotha, the son of Frederick I of Saxe-Coburg and Magdalena of Saxe-Weissenfels. His youngest daughter, Augusta, married Frederick Prince of Wales in 1736.
