Januar 1967 in Albany, Bundesstaat New York, USA) war ein polnisch-amerikanischer Biochemiker und prägte 1912 [1] den Begriff „ Vitamin “. Er studierte in Berlin und in der Schweiz. 1904 erhielt er seinen Doktorgrad an der Universität Bern.
