Cicely (or Cecily) Neville, was one of the vast brood of children of Ralph Neville, Earl of Westmorland, by his second wife, Joan, daughter of John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster. Cicely was born and brought up in the great Neville stronghold of Raby Castle, Durham.

She was once more considered a legitimate princess after Henry VII’s first Parliament. However, I have not exactly made Cecily’s and Henry’s relationship rose-tinted in Princess of Thorns. 10 de jul. de 2015 · Cecily seems to have gotten along well with Richard’s queen, her daughter-in-law Anne Neville. Richard’s reign was very short. In 1485, he was killed in battle at Bosworth Field and Henry Tudor was now King Henry VII by right of conquest. Henry married Cecily’s grand-daughter, her son Edward’s eldest daughter Elizabeth of York.
