31 de mar. de 2020 · The CHANGESBOWIE best of compilation LP hit the top spot in the UK 30 years ago today, promoted by Bowie’s SOUND + VISION World Tour which kicked off in Quebec, Canada, on 4th March. Released on Monday 12th March 1990 by EMI in the UK (with three extra tracks on the 21 track LP & cassette), the 18-track US version was issued by RYKO on Friday 16th March 1990.
Differs from Changesbowie in the following: - Track B1 'Jean Genie' is incorrectly printed as 'Jeff Genie' on side B label. - Labels A and B have a misspelling in "...remastered by Dr. Toby Mountain. Assited [SIC] by Jonathan Wyner", while Changesbowie has the same misspelling only on side A label.

17 de mar. de 2020 · The latter wasn’t included on any version of CHANGESBOWIE despite only ‘Jean Genie’ being a bigger hit in the UK in the first half of the 1970s! The collection is certainly an interesting attempt to pull together ‘the best’ of David Bowie as of 1990, but CHANGESBOWIE was in the end a bit of a mish-mash of actual hits and perceived ‘best of’ tracks.
