Henry remained loyal to the Imperial authority during the German Peasants' War , and in 1528 he assisted Emperor Charles V in the War of the League of Cognac against King Francis I of France in Italy.
After fleeing from the Duchy of Brunswick Charles II lived in Spain, England and France until he finally settled in Geneva, Switzerland, where he died August 18, 1873. Biografía. Carlos nació en la ciudad de Brunswick, siendo el mayor de los hijos de Federico Guillermo, duque de Brunswick-Luneburgo.
