While four Lennox sisters lived to mature adulthood and a fifth lived until she was 19, three others died in childhood: Louisa Margaret (1725–1728), Anne (1726–1727), and Margaret (1739–1741). The Lennox sisters had two brothers who lived to adulthood, Charles Lennox, 3rd Duke of Richmond (1735–1806), and Lord George Lennox (1737–1805), as well as two others who died in infancy.

Lord Algernon Charles Gordon-Lennox (19 September 1847 – 3 October 1921), married Blanche Maynard and had issue one daughter, Ivy Gordon-Lennox (16 June 1887 – 3 March 1982), who m. William Cavendish-Bentinck, 7th Duke of Portland. Captain Lord Francis Charles Gordon-Lennox (30 July 1849 – 1 January 1886), died unmarried.
He became the 4th Duke of Richmond on 29 December 1806, after the death of his uncle, Charles Lennox, 3rd Duke of Richmond. In April 1807 he became Lord Lieutenant of Ireland.
