The revelation inspired a ritual unusual for someone his age—tuning in to his local PBS channel each week to watch Hollywood musicals of the 1940s and 50s.
C harles Walters was a director who helmed a long string of memorable movie musicals from "Easter Parade" in the 1940s to "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" in the 1960s..
