Charles-François Delacroix (French pronunciation: [ʃaʁl fʁɑ̃swa dəlakʁwa]; or Lacroix; 15 April 1741 – 26 October 1805) was a French statesman who became Minister of Foreign Affairs under the Directory. The painter Eugène Delacroix was his fourth son, although doubts have been cast on his paternity.

Charles-François Delacroix (o Lacroix; 15 de abril de 1741 - 26 de octubre de 1805) fue un estadista francés que se convirtió en Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores bajo el Directorio. El pintor Eugène Delacroix fue su cuarto hijo, aunque se han puesto en duda su paternidad.
A remarkable debut. At only twenty-four years of age, Delacroix submitted his first work to the Salon of 1882, inspired by Dante’s Inferno, Dante and Virgil in Hell (Musée du Louvre). The artwork immediately caught the attention of critics. He quickly incarnated a new generation of artists qualified as Romantic, a term inspired by literature.
