Charlotte Perriand (French pronunciation: [ʃaʁlɔt peʁjɑ̃]; 24 October 1903 – 27 October 1999) was a French architect and designer. Her work aimed to create functional living spaces in the belief that better design helps in creating a better society.
Recent reviews. This documentary explores Perriand's development from her own perspective, from the 1930s, when she made common cause with Le Corbusier and avant-garde art, to her discovery of Japan, where she was inspired to incorporate aspects of Japanese tradition into her practice of Modernism.
