Chris Overton is an English actor and filmmaker, best known for his film, The Silent Child for which he received critical acclaim and won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film. Overton is the husband of Rachel Shenton, who wrote and starred in The Silent Child.

5 de mar. de 2018 · The Silent Child tells the story of a young, deaf girl named Libby who befriends her social worker, who introduces her to the world of sing-language. Reminiscent of The Miracle Worker, the story soon reveals itself to be the backdrop of a drama of family dynamics and prejudice of the unknown.
