The TORSO MURDERS, committed between Sept. 1935 and Aug. 1938, were believed to be serial killings. Most of the bodies were discovered in or near the KINGSBURY RUN area—a creek bed that ran from E. 90th St. and Kinsman Rd. SE to the CUYAHOGA RIVER.
Two boys found a head wrapped in trousers. Scrappers found one torso wrapped in a double-breasted blazer and another in a quilt. The gruesome murders continued, and the body count grew to 13 in 1938. The citizens of Cleveland were terrified of being the next victim or finding the next body.
