The Collegium Hosianum was the Jesuit collegium founded in 1565, 1566 by Polish Cardinal Stanislaus Hosius in Braunsberg ( Braniewo ), Kingdom of Poland. The town was then part of the Polish Prince-Bishopric of Warmia under rule of Cardinal Hosius.

W 1780, po kasacie jezuitów, kolegium zostało przekształcone przez władze pruskie w Gymnasium Academikum, a od 1818 w Królewskie Liceum Hosianum, przemianowane w 1912 na Akademię Państwową. W III Rzeszy Hermann-von-Salza-Schule. Szkołę zamknięto tuż przed nadciągającym frontem 6 lutego 1945 roku.

El Collegium Hosianum fue el colegio jesuita fundado en 1565, 1566 por el cardenal polaco Stanislaus Hosius en Braunsberg ( Braniewo ), Reino de Polonia . La ciudad era entonces parte del Príncipe-Obispado polaco de Warmia bajo el gobierno del cardenal Hosius.
Braniewo estuvo ocupada por Suecia durante unos tres años durante la Guerra de Livonia en el siglo XVI. En Warmia, las enseñanzas luteranas nuevamente fueron suprimidas cuando el príncipe-obispo Stanislaus Hosius (1504-1579) trajo a los jesuitas y fundó la escuela Collegium Hosianum.

The most interesting ones are: Basilica of St. Katherine from 1343-1442, a gate tower of the former Bishops’ Castle, chapel of St. Roch as well as the building of Collegium Hosianum. Churches are also fascinating monuments. Worthy of interest are especially Sanctuary of the Feast of the Cross and St. Trinity Church.
