Beginning in 1956 with BLP 1509, Reid Miles designed most of the Blue Note LP covers. The 1500 series has been systematically reissued by Toshiba-EMI in Japan ("Blue Note Works 1500" series, 20-bit 88.2 kHz CDs); the catalog numbers are TOCJ-1501, etc.

Hace 3 días · The Ninth is the most German of Beethoven’s symphonies. The text of the finale, carefully assembled from lines in Schiller’s famous ode, indicates as much. The symphony’s dedicatee was German; and, had Beethoven had his way, its premiere would have been in Berlin, not in Rossini-obsessed Vienna. And herein lies a problem.
Hace 1 día · Overcast, cool, temps in low 60s. Walk through wooded area to marshy spot, passing one open pasture area. Wonderful grouping of migrants in woods this am! Merlin noted a few other species, but I couldn’t find birds by sight and recordings weren’t clear enough to verify for sure. A great morning of birding!殺
