Sønderborg Castle ( Danish: Sønderborg Slot) is located in the town of Sønderborg, Denmark on the island of Als in South Jutland. It houses a museum focusing on the history and culture of the area. The castle is located in the middle of the town, in a park setting overlooking Als Fjord. The museum is open year-round.
The town of Sønderborg is home to Sønderborg Castle ( Sønderborg Slot ), the Royal Danish Army 's Sergeant School (until 2013) and Sandbjerg Estate ( Sandbjerg Gods ). Sønderborg castle is in the centre of the town, and houses a museum focusing on the history and culture of the area. The museum is open all year.
The St. Mary's Church [1] [2] [3] is a church owned by the Church of Denmark in Sønderborg, Denmark and the church of the parish with the same name. Thanks to its location on a hill, the church building is very iconic for the city.
