Cuno Amiet (Soleura, 28 de marzo de 1868 - 6 de julio de 1961) fue un suizo pintor, ilustrador, artista gráfico y escultor. Además de dar prioridad al color en la composición , fue un pionero del arte moderno en su país. Biografía. Nació en Soleura y su padre, Josef Ignaz Amiet (1827-1895), era canciller en el cantón de Soleura.

Practicó además de la pintura, la ilustración, el diseño gráfico y la escultura. Se formó inicialmente en la Kantonsschule Solothurn, donde se graduó en 1883.
