Curt Boettcher, later Curt Boetcher and Curt Becher (1944–1987), was an American singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer from Wisconsin. His career spanned 1964 to 1983. Boettcher was one of the most important personalities of Sunshine Pop in the 1960s, even influencing Brian Wilson before the production of Pet Sounds.

In 1966 and ’67, Boettcher spent so much time at Columbia Studios in Hollywood that some began to call CBS “Curt Boettcher Studios.” The work he did with Gene Clark , Paul Revere & The Raiders , Elton John , Emitt Rhodes , and The Beach Boys (among many others) is a master’s thesis in the use of sound and space to elevate music and emotion into art.
