Pieces of a Dream is an American R&B and jazz fusion group. [1] [2] Overview. The group was formed in Philadelphia during 1976 by bassist Cedric Napoleon, drummer Curtis Harmon, and keyboardist James Lloyd who were all teenagers at the time.

Curtis Harmon. Real Name: Curtis Harmon. Profile: Started at the age of 8 studying drums and turned pro at the age of 12 playing with his father's group at times. Attended Ada Lewis Middle School in Philadelphia where he met Cedric Napolean and James Lloyd who later became Pieces of a Dream.

Pieces of a Dream emerged out of Philadelphia’s music scene in 1976. Keyboardist James Lloyd, drummer Curtis Harmon and former bassist Cedric Napoleon, were (and still are) managed by the drummer’s father and uncle, Danny and Bill Harmon, respectively.
