10 de ago. de 2020 · Most band members have passed on, but Daryl Hooper has kept the flame going with his new incarnation of The Seeds that have been playing the old songs, writing new songs, and were even performing live shows up until that darned pandemic sucker-punched the world in the face.
The band's classic line-up featured frontman Sky Saxon, guitarist Jan Savage (born Buck Jan Reeder), keyboardist Daryl Hooper and drummer Rick Andridge. In 1968, the band changed their name to Sky Saxon and the Seeds, with Savage and Andridge departing the band.

The Seeds is the debut album by American garage rock band the Seeds.It was released in April 1966 through GNP Crescendo Records and produced by Sky Saxon.After the release of two singles in 1965, "Can't Seem to Make You Mine" and "Pushin' Too Hard", the album was released and charted in the United States where it peaked at No. 132 on the Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart.

Hooper’s bounding keyboards lead the band through “No Escape” which would later find release as the b-side of “Mr. Farmer” released in December, 1966.
For decades, the name The Seeds was most closely identified with the activities of their eccentric vocalist, the late Sky Saxon, but the first, path-finding line-up was always a collaboration, the musical director of which was, without a doubt, keyboard whiz Daryl Hooper.
