Dave Tough (26 de abril de 1907 – 9 de diciembre de 1948) fue un batería de jazz estadounidense, destacado intérprete de Dixieland y swing en las décadas de 1930 y 1940. Biografía. Born in Oak Park, Illinois, United States, [1] Tough was a friend of Bud Freeman, who was part of a group of musicians known as the Austin High School Gang in Chicago. [1] .
Dave Tough, a swinging drummer with a fine sense of musical quality, was a significant member of the group. He travelled to Europe in the '20s and also spent time in New York City making records with Eddie Condon, Red Nichols and others.
