Sir David Bowes-Lyon KCVO (2 May 1902 – 13 September 1961) was the tenth and youngest child and the sixth son of Claude Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, and Cecilia Nina Cavendish-Bentinck. He was the younger brother of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and uncle to Queen Elizabeth II.

David Bowes-Lyon. David Bowes-Lyon was the sixth son of the ten children of Claude George Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne. His elder sister became Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. He was at the Ministry of Economic Warfare in 1940 before moving to the British Embassy in Washington between 1942 and 1944.
