David L. Parmley [1] (born February 1, 1959) is a bluegrass vocalist, guitarist, and award-winning bandleader. He is best known for being a co-founder of both the Bluegrass Cardinals and Continental Divide. Biography. Parmley was born in White House, Tennessee, but grew up in Los Angeles, California.

David is reuniting with two former members of Continental Divide, including his former partner in the band, Scott Vestal on banjo, one of the most highly celebrated players in contemporary bluegrass. Also a former member is Mike Anglin on bass, along with Doug Bartlett on mandolin and Craig Fletcher on fiddle.

In 1994 David teamed up with banjo great, Scott Vestal to form Continental Divide. Known for his soulful voice and driving rhythm guitar, and exceptional skills as a producer, David has notched many awards, including: International Bluegrass Music Association’s “Recorded Event of the Year” 1991 and 1995.
