David IX fue rey de Georgia del 1346 al 1360. Era hijo único de Jorge el Brillante, al que sucedió en 1346. Se casó con Sindukhtar, hija de Kvarkvare II Djakéli, atabek de Samtskhé. Hijo de David VII y de su mujer Gvantsa, Demetrio tenía sólo 2 años cuándo su madre fue asesinada por los mongoles en 1261. Sucedió a su padre en 1270, al fallecer, cuando tenía 11 años. Gobernó bajo la regencia de Sadun Mankaberdeli durante algún tiempo.

David V (Georgian: დავით V, Davit' V; died 1155), of the Bagrationi Dynasty, was a 7th king of Georgia in 1154 before his death in 1155 He was an elder son of King Demetre I. Fearing that Demetre would make his younger son Giorgi an heir to the throne, David attempted a revolt in 1130. Ultimately, he forced his father to abdicate and David became a king in 1154 or 1155.
