Decimus Burton was born in the parish of St Pancras, London. England on 30 September 1800. Both his paternal grandfather, William Halibuton (1731-1785) and his father, James Burton (1761-1837), were London property developers.
25 de may. de 2018 · Decimus Burton designed every angle of Kew’s Temperate House, from the benches for the pot plants and pipes for the heating equipment, to the stunning octagons flanking the parallelogram at the heart of the building.
