Hace 6 días · Decimus Burton FRS FRSA FSA FRIBA (30 September 1800 – 14 December 1881) was one of the foremost English architects and landscapers of the 19th century. He was the foremost Victorian architect in the Roman revival, Greek revival, Georgian neoclassical and Regency styles.
Hace 1 día · It contains plants and trees from all the temperate regions of the world, some of which are extremely rare. It was commissioned in 1859 and designed by architect Decimus Burton and iron founder Richard Turner. Covering 4880 square metres, it rises to a height of 19 metres (62 ft).
12 de abr. de 2024 · Paxton didn’t create this beaut single-handedly but worked with architect Decimus Burton. It’s not entirely clear which elements can be attributed to which man. It seems that Paxton worked out the modular construction of glass and wood, while Burton gave it architectural form.
