Born in Twyford, Dennis Price began acting at Oxford University, studied acting under Ronald Adam at the Embassy Theatre School and was on stage from 1937. Alcoholism and tax problems from the mid-1960s led to his absence from Britain and his appearance in some third-rate films. Died of cirrhosis of the liver.
Dennistoun Franklyn John Rose Price was an English actor. He played as Louis Mazzini in the Ealing Studios film Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) and the omnicompetent valet Jeeves in 1960s television adaptations of P. G. Wodehouse's stories.
