O'Malley, Donogh (1921–68), politician, was born in Riverview, Corbally, Limerick, on 18 January 1921, one of eight children of Joseph O'Malley, civil engineer, and his wife, Mary (née Tooher). He was educated at Crescent College, Limerick, Clongowes, and University College, Galway (where he studied civil engineering).
