Anna Henrietta was the ruling duchess of Toussaint, and beloved by all her people. She ruled the country with her husband Raymund until he died in 1265, two years before Geralt and his friends arrived in Toussaint, after which she ruled as the sole monarch.

It was in the lifetime of Duchess Anna Amalia (1739-1809) that Weimar’s Classical period began. She appointed the poet Christoph Martin Wieland (1733-1813) as tutor to her sons in 1772. It was after Carl August (1757-1828) had succeeded to the Duchy that Johann Wolfgang Goethe settled in the town (1775).
Built at the behest of Duchess Anna Amalia, it opened in 1766 and has since preserved and presented the collections of the library to the present day. Following a devastating fire in 2004, the Historic Library underwent extensive renovation and reopened in 2007. Rococo Hall.
