Eduard Bloch was an Austrian doctor practicing in Linz (Austria) and until 1907 the physician of Adolf Hitler's family. Bloch was born in Frauenberg (today Hluboká nad Vltavou, Czech Republic ), studied medicine in Prague and then served as a medical officer in the Austrian army.
25 de jul. de 2014 · Eduard Bloch was born in 1869 to a Jewish family in Frauenburg, a small southern Bohemian village. He studied medicine in Prague, enlisted in the army of the Habsburg Empire, and was sent to Linz. After his discharge from the army he decided to settle in Linz, where he practiced for 37 years, serving the underprivileged and earning the title of “the poor man’s doctor” ( Figure 1 ).

Eduard Bloch was born in Frauenberg on 30th January 1872. A member of a Jewish family he studied medicine in Prague and then served as a medical officer in the Austrian Army. After leaving the army in 1901 he opened a private doctor's practice in Linz. He married Emilie Kafka and their daughter Trude was born in 1903.
