Edward Blore (1789-1879) Edward Blore (1787-1879) was born in Derby on 13 September 1787 as the eldest child of Thomas Blore, a topographer and antiquary. At first, he followed in his father's footsteps. Having been apprenticed to an engraver, he became a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries in 1823.
