Edward Seymour, 8th Duke of Somerset (December 1694 or early 1695 – December 1757) was an English peer and landowner. Family. The son of Sir Edward Seymour, 5th Baronet, of Berry Pomeroy, a descendant of Lord Protector Somerset by his first marriage, to Catherine Fillol, Edward Seymour was baptised at Easton Royal, Wiltshire, on 17 January 1694.

Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset, 1st Earl of Hertford, 1st Viscount Beauchamp KG, PC (1500 – 22 January 1552), also known as Edward Semel, was an English nobleman and politician who served as Lord Protector of England from 1547 to 1549 during the minority of his nephew King Edward VI.

19 de ene. de 2017 · At 8am the following morning, Edward Seymour, Duke of Somerset, and once Lord Protector of England, walked out to Tower Hill escorted by a large guard. His hope of a pardon had not been met. Climbing the steps of the scaffold, Somerset knelt and commended himself to God before addressing the watching crowd.
