Henry Grey, 1st Duke of Suffolk. Henry Grey, 2nd Duke of Suffolk, 3rd Marquess of Dorset KG KB (17 January 1517 – 23 February 1554), was an English courtier and nobleman of the Tudor period. He was the father of Lady Jane Grey, known as "the Nine Days' Queen".

HENRY GREY, MARQUIS OF DORSET AND DUKE OF SUFFOLK. BORN: 17 JANUARY 1517. EXECUTED: 1554. Husband of Frances Brandon and father of Catherine, Jane and Mary Grey. Supported his daughter Jane's claim to the throne. Pardoned, but later executed for supporting a rebellion against Mary I and her marriage to Philip of Spain.

He became 3d marquess of Dorset on his father's death (1530), and in 1534 he married Frances, daughter of Charles Brandon, duke of Suffolk, and Mary of England (sister of Henry VIII [1]). During Henry's reign he was active at court.
