Eleanor Randolph Wilson McAdoo (October 16, 1889 – April 5, 1967) was an American writer and the youngest daughter of American president Woodrow Wilson and Ellen Louise Axson. Wilson had two sisters, Margaret Woodrow Wilson and Jessie Woodrow Wilson Sayre.

In 1937, Eleanor Wilson McAdoo published a memoir, The Woodrow Wilsons, about her family’s time in the White House. The book, which presented the Wilsons’ experiences in an intimate and loving manner, was made into a movie in 1944 with Vincent Price playing the role of Nell’s ex-husband.

Eleanor Randolph Wilson McAdoo. Eleanor Randolph Wilson was born in Middletown, Connecticut on October 16, 1889. She was the third child of President Woodrow Wilson and his first wife, Ellen Louise Axson. Eleanor was the only one of President Wilson’s children not to be born in the South.

They had two daughters, and divorced in 1934 when McAdoo was elected a U.S. Senator from California. In 1937, Eleanor Wilson McAdoo published a memoir, The Woodrow Wilsons, about her family’s time in the White House.
