17 de nov. de 2023 · Margaret Bryan fue bautizada el 12 de octubre de 1759 en West Ham (Essex, Inglaterra). Era hija de Sarah Haverkam (Wall de apellido de soltera) y Oswald Haverkam, un comerciante textil. Su madre falleció en 1767 y Margaret y sus hermanos quedaron a cargo de uno de sus tíos.
Margaret Bryan, Baroness Bryan (c. 1468 – c. 1551/52) was lady governess to the children of King Henry VIII of England, the future monarchs Mary I, Elizabeth I, and Edward VI, as well as the illegitimate Henry FitzRoy.

Little is known about the life of Margaret Bryan beyond that articulated in her books. An educator, she ran schools for girls and notably included the study of physics, mechanics, chemistry, astronomy and mathematics in her curriculum.
