Elizabeth Wyckes, (also Wykys, or Wykes) (d. 1529) was the wife of Thomas Cromwell (1485 – 28 July 1540), Earl of Essex, and chief minister to Henry VIII of England. She was daughter to Henry Wyckes, a well-to-do clothier from Chertsey, and his wife Mercy, who married Sir John Pryor after Wyckes' death.

Elizabeth Wyckes. Gregory Cromwell, 1st Baron Cromwell, KB ( c. 1520 [1] [3] – 4 July 1551) [4] was an English nobleman. He was the only son of the Tudor statesman Thomas Cromwell, 1st Earl of Essex ( c. 1485 – 1540) and Elizabeth Wyckes (d. 1529).

23 de feb. de 2023 · Cromwell married Elizabeth Wyckes c.1514 and had three children, Gregory, Anne, and Grace. He appears to be a caring man who was loyal to his family, taking in Elizabeth’s mother, Mercy, Elizabeth’s sister, Joan, and the children of both of his sisters.
At one point during these years, Cromwell returned to England, where around 1515 he married Elizabeth Wyckes (d. 1529). She was the widow of Thomas Williams, a Yeoman of the Guard, and the daughter of a Putney shearman, Henry Wyckes, who had served as a gentleman usher to King Henry VII.
