Emil Schult (born 10 October 1946) is a German painter, poet and audio-visual artist. Biography. After studying Sinology in Münster, Schult joined the Academy of Art in Düsseldorf in 1969 to study Fine Arts in the printmaking class of Dieter Roth, and later in the painting classes of Joseph Beuys and Gerhard Richter.

Hütter y Schneider tocaron todos los instrumentos combinando música con letras cantadas coescritas con Emil Schult quien también diseñó la portada del disco. Wolfgang Flür tocó la percusión electrónica en el tema «Kometenmelodie 2». El violín eléctrico del tema «Mitternacht» lo tocó Klaus Röder.
With Emil Schult working on artwork and lyrics, Kraftwerk began to compose music for the new record. Even though Radio-Activity was less commercially successful than Autobahn in the UK and United States, the album served to open up the European market for Kraftwerk, earning them a gold disc in France.

Portada. La portada de la edición original fue pintada por Emil Schult, colaborador habitual de Ralf y Florian, quien también coescribió la letra del tema «Autobahn». La parte trasera del LP original mostraba a Hütter, Schneider, Röder y Emil Schult sentados en la parte trasera de un coche.
