The Church of St Margaret, Westminster Abbey is an Anglican church in Westminster, London, England. It is in the grounds of Westminster Abbey next to the Palace of Westminster. It was the church of the House of Commons since 1614 [1] - 1972.

It forms part of a single UNESCO World Heritage Site with the Palace of Westminster and Westminster Abbey.

3 de jul. de 2023 · It seems that St Margaret's was built in the 12th century, although we do not have a precise date. From then until the dissolution of the monastery by Henry VIII in 1540, ministry to the ever-growing population of Westminster was undertaken by the monks of the Abbey.
Saint Margaret’s Church, church in the London borough of Westminster, since 1614 the official church of the House of Commons. It stands near Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. The church was founded by the abbot of Westminster in the early or mid-12th century, but the original structure was demolished in the 14th century.
