Kurt Matthias Robert Martin Hahn CBE (5 June 1886 – 14 December 1974) was a German educator. He was decisive in founding Stiftung Louisenlund, Schule Schloss Salem, Gordonstoun, Outward Bound, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, and the first of the United World Colleges, Atlantic College.

Kurt Matthias Robert Martin Hahn war ein deutscher Politiker und Pädagoge und gilt als einer der Begründer der Erlebnispädagogik. Er war ein enger Freund des letzten Reichskanzlers des deutschen Kaiserreichs, Max von Baden.
Kurt Hahn was a key figure in the development of experiential education. He was the founder of the the Atlantic College, the first United World College, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Gordonstoun, Outward Bound, and Salem.
Kurt Hahn is one of the great educators of the 20th century. His significance and impact are based primarily on the strength and charisma of his personality, his educational ideas, and the establishment of many educational institutions.
Gordonstoun was founded in 1934 by German educationalist Dr Kurt Hahn. Hahn was born in 1886 in Berlin to Jewish parents. As a young man he attended the universities of Heidelberg, Gottingen and Oxford and, after the First World War, he founded Salem School in Southern Germany with the former German Chancellor, Prince Max of Baden.
