Erasure (/ ə ˈ r eɪ ʒ ər /) are an English synth-pop duo formed in London in 1984, consisting of lead vocalist and songwriter Andy Bell with songwriter, producer and keyboardist Vince Clarke, previously co-founder of the band Depeche Mode and a member of synth-pop duo Yazoo.
Vince Clarke and Andy Bell - best known as the BRIT and Ivor Novello winning duo ERASURE - have, since their formation in 1985, released a staggering number of albums and singles, and left an indelible mark on our musical landscape.
