Il y a plus de dix ans, Berthe rencontrait Édouard Manet au Louvre, futur conseiller et beau-frère. À l’époque, Berthe travaillait avec sa sœur Edma, artiste reconnue elle aussi.
Eugène Manet (21 de novembro de 1833 - 13 de abril de 1892) foi um pintor francês. Ele não alcançou a alta reputação de seu irmão mais velho Édouard Manet ou de sua esposa Berthe Morisot , e dedicou muito de seus esforços para apoiar a carreira de sua esposa.

24 de mar. de 2022 · Eugène Manet morì nel 1892: da allora in poi la salute di Berthe peggiorò rapidamente. Andò a vivere con la figlia ma continuò a dipingere, quando poteva. Berthe Morisot morì improvvisamente di polmonite a Parigi il 2 marzo 1895.
