31 de oct. de 2023 · Ferdinando Fairfax, 2nd Lord Fairfax of Cameron (29 March 1584 14 March 1648) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1614 and 1648. He was a commander in the Parliamentary army in the English Civil War.
During his command in Yorkshire, Fairfax engaged in a paper war with Newcastle, and wrote The Answer of Ferdinando, Lord Fairfax, to a Declaration of William, earl of Newcastle (1642; printed in Rushworth, pt. iii. vol. ii. p. 139); he also published A Letter from. .. Lord Fairfax to. ..
Nicholas John Albert Fairfax was born 4 January 1956, the eldest son of Thomas Fairfax, 13th Lord Fairfax of Cameron (1923–1964), and his wife, Sonia Helen Gunston (1927–2017). Fairfax was educated at Eton and Downing College, Cambridge ( LLB in International Law), is a barrister and was called to the Bar following becoming a member of Gray's Inn (1977).
